The first generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-class was introduced back in late 1997, which was the W168 series that featured a frontal-impact absorption system. The second generation was introduced in late 2004, which was the W169 series. The revamped W176 series was released in late 2012 and features a sleek and dynamic design and lower CO2 emissions.
On the 15th of August 2005, Mercedes stopped production of the A-class, but then reintroduced the model not only because they were highly rated, but also viewed as reliable vehicles. As of December 2006, over 2 million A-class models have been sold collectively.
